Funny story about this concert: it had a very intense audience.
There are three guitar organizations in Fort Worth: the Fort Worth Guitar Guild (who put on this concert), the Allegro Guitar Society, and Guitar Fort Worth. Mitch, the head of the Guitar Guild, was at this concert (of course). But seemed like every other prominent guitarist in Fort Worth decided to come out too, including members from each organization. I’m all about networking, so it was great to see everyone.
What I didn’t expect was for Chris McGuire, Allegro Guitar Society’s artistic director, to bring Carlos Barbosa Lima with him. Scary. Hopefully he enjoyed himself; I didn’t get a chance to chat with him afterward.
