Christopher first began his musical career as most young children do: fifth grade band. He began playing the clarinet at age ten. At 14 years old, Chris was given his first Black Sabbath Album which was followed shortly thereafter by his first Metallica album. It was clear then that he wanted to play the guitar.

He began his guitar education with Scott Dalziel studying rock guitar. His interests expanded to include jazz and improvisation. This newly found interest spurred Christopher to audition for a spot in the music department at Drake University where he met classical guitar teacher Phil Delong. Phil introduced Chris to the world of classical guitar, and Chris’ interests were soon firmly cemented in learning the genre.

Recently graduated from Drake, Christopher is pursuing a Masters of Music studying with Stanley Yates at Austin Peay State University. He has performed in masterclasses for world renowned artists such as Odaire Assad and Christopher Parkening. Chris’ performance experiences include not only classical guitar, but experiences with various rock and jazz groups.
